We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Global Leader of Professional Services to join our team and lead our Professional Services organization. This role is responsible for profitably driving the professional services strategy and plan across the company’s global markets, ensuring service excellence, customer satisfaction, customer success, and software sales growth. The Senior Vice President, Global Leader of Professional Services will be responsible for: Managing a P&L and profitably delivering $55M in bookings/billings in FY26 and significantly growing that in FY27+, enabling partners to deliver on behalf of Okta, and building and leading a team of 200 highly skilled professionals working in the United States, Europe and Asia/Pacific/Japan. The leader will be a key member of the Okta Customer First leadership team, working closely with other leaders in: Customer First, Sales, Operations, and Engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software, SaaS, cybersecurity, and leading distributed professional services global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global strategy that aligns with and supports the company’s overall objectives and strategy to increase customer success and software growth.
- Manage a P&L and profitably deliver $55M in bookings/billings in FY26 and growing in FY27+.
- Effectively and predictably manage weekly, quarterly, and annual forecasting.
- Develop a global strategy and lead the development of regional plans to include a multiple channel go-to-market strategy that includes: direct customer engagement, partners, outsourcers, and digital. Drive the growth and scalability of professional services offerings.
- Lead and manage a global team of 200+ professionals, setting clear goals and performance metrics.
- Attract, retain, and develop a world-class team.
- Develop a culture of: transparency, innovation, integrity, and empowerment.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, support, renewals, customer success, and account management teams to identify and close opportunities and develop related strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, large GSIs, and stakeholders understanding their needs and providing high impact solutions.
- Ensure the highest standards of compliance and security are upheld across all services.
- Develop and aggressively implement strategies and change to reflect industry/market trends, best practices, and technological advancements to keep the company at the forefront of SaaS security professional services.
- Provide regular reports and forecasts on performance to senior management.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create effective campaigns and collateral.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary training and resources to achieve their goals.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in leading professional services, with a focus on SaaS and cybersecurity.
- Proven track record of leading, building, and scaling professional services teams in a global context both direct and through partners.
- Proven track record delivering thought leadership to advance customer, partner, large GSIs, and team growth.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and SaaS business models.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment seeking and incorporating appropriate input from key internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Willingness to travel globally and frequently.
