POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
The Direct Mail Sales Associate is primarily focused on supporting sales reps and growing the business for the direct mail sales channel in the West Group with a specific focus on supporting multi-million-dollar clients and groups. Additionally, the Direct Mail Sales Associate works with internal departments as a partner in developing complex reporting and data management systems and works directly with the clients to understand all reporting and data needs in direct mail. Other activities include attending client meetings, ad-hoc reporting as needed and using independent judgment in identifying data trends and how they would apply to the customer.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Work with Data Science team to create and improve all reporting materials and dashboards.
• Develop and revise “matchback” reporting and additional reporting as needed by accounts and the West Group.
• Project manage and coordinate reporting delivery timelines with internal teams and client.
• Participate in and collaborate with sales on client meetings.
• Collaborate closely with sales to identify trends and information that leads to client success.
• Provide high level of customer service to clients regarding reporting and data capacity.
• Provide support.
• Participate in project work as directed by supervisor
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Extensive working experience with Direct Mail
• Experience working with high volume client assignments
• Experience working with research, sales and operations
• Excellent analytical and interpretative skills
• Excellent written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured, dynamic environment, with tight deadlines
• Must be able to constantly prioritize workload with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects
• Must be a team player
• Skills: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint), CRM or Order Management/Workflow systems experience a plus
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• College education or work equivalent experience
• 3 years working experience in direct mail space
• 3 years previous work experience in the media/publishing industry
• 3 years previous work experience working with sales personnel
