Duties and Role:
Under the direction of the Head of the Coherence Branch, the function of Project Manager is responsible for:
- The management of the project requirements in coordination with the requester;
- The coordination and compilation of the Statement of Work;
- The application of standard project management techniques in accordance with the Prince2 methodology (e.g. change control, risk/issue management);
- The development and maintenance of project plans in particular using the Enterprise Project Management framework used by NCIA and in compliance with NCIA directive and project management best practices;
- In coordination with the team leaders, identify, plan, and allocate resources to meet project milestones and/or initiate corrective actions when necessary;
- Manage projects to ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, time, cost and quality limits;
- Maintain the liaison with CTO for technological and with COO for operational alignment with Agency Directives.
- Prepare weekly status reports on project scope, time, budget and progress.
- All work is conducted on-site at NATO HQ Brussels.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Experience in large IT infrastructure (data centres, networking, security, end user devices) implementation projects
- Experience and certification in Service Management (i.e. ITIL V3 or V4)
- Experience in project organization with heterogeneous implementation teams consisting of local support engineers and contractor provided implementation staff.
- Experience in communications in front of higher management and large groups (briefings, written and oral presentations)
- Prior experience of working in an inter-governmental/international environment
Desirable:
- Experience in development of Business Case (including cost/benefit analysis, etc.)
- Experience in supplier management, negotiations, conflict resolution and contract management
