Job Duties

We are seeking a dependable and highly motivated team player to perform administrative functions in our Admissions Department. Responsibilities include bed management and patient registration , data entry within electronic medical records. Collaboration with primary are staff, Nursing Staff, Clinical Staff and Community Services Board(CSB) Staff. Direct interaction with patients during admission intakes. This is a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, be organized, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently, and have the ability to interact effectively with people who are dissatisfied and upset and still provide excellent customer service.

A work sample for data entry and spreadsheets will be given at the time of interview.

The work hours are every weekend both Saturday and Sunday night (12 hour shifts).This schedule may change on an as needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in a healthcare setting required with patient registration and/or customer service

Significant data entry experience required.

Demonstrated experience with filing systems required.

Prior experience with Microsoft Office including Excel required.

Additional Considerations

Experience working and interfacing with all levels of health care clinical staff preferred.

Chart audit experience preferred.

Medical Terminology coursework strongly preferred.

Associate Degree or equivalent college courses in the Healthcare field preferred.
