Position Specific Description

We are seeking a skilled SAP AWS and Linux Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, installing, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux systems. You will work closely with the finance team to optimize AWS costs and ensure the efficient operation of SAP applications within our IT environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•    Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure, focusing on cost optimization and efficiency.
•    Administer and optimize Linux servers to ensure high availability and performance.
•    Collaborate with the finance team to monitor and manage AWS costs, providing insights and recommendations for cost-saving measures.
•    Support and maintain SAP systems, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
•    Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
•    Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates and patches.
•    Ensure compliance with security standards and industry regulations.
•    Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments.
•    Participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical system issues promptly.
•    Hands-on Experience with Python Programming.
•    Develop and maintain solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
•    Utilize AWS launch Wizards for SAP builds and Deployments.
•    Manage and optimize SAP databases with AWS environments.
•    Expert knowledge of various AWS Business/Corporate Finance discount packages and offerings
•    Knowledge in DR(Disaster Recovery) setup for SAP applications.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Previous Experience in the utility and energy industry.
•    Proven experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services, with a focus on cost management.
•    Strong proficiency in Linux administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
•    Solid understanding of finance principles, particularly in managing AWS costs.
•    Experience with SAP systems and applications, including SAP HANA.
•    Knowledge of network protocols, security practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
•    Strong communication and collaboration skills.
•    Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
