Job Description

Oracle is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and flexible Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Analytics and Development team within the Applications Services Excellence (ASE) organization. This role will be key in supporting ASE leaders with decision-support tools and custom analyses as they work to transform Oracle customers’ experiences with Oracle’s SaaS and Cloud applications portfolio. We’re looking for someone with strong technical skills so they can support their own projects but are especially interested in those with proven ability to investigate problems, answer questions, and present findings/solutions to leaders charged with running programs and pushing changes.

The ASE organization is chartered with transforming Oracle customer’s experiences with Oracle����s SaaS and Cloud applications portfolio. Encompassing key disciplines like support, success, knowledge management, and customer engagement, the group is a key lever in helping customer’s fall in love with Oracle one interaction at a time. 

We are seeking to build ASE analytics capabilities by adding technical and diverse team members comfortable working with data from support, cloud infrastructure, finance and other data from across Oracle to give wholistic views of our customers and operations. This role will require an inquisitive attitude, and the ability to work with data beyond spreadsheets to answer your own questions. 

As a Business Intelligence Analyst for the Application Services Excellence organization, you will be working in a data environment with a variety of different systems, at different levels of automation and integration. For some manual processes, your goal will be to eventually automate and integrate. In other situations where access and integration permits, you may be asked to build an automated ETL flow to power a new report or dashboard that you design and build in an Oracle BI tool. You will contribute greatly to the transformation of how ASE does analytics work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support executive and operations reviews and decision making by developing standard reports or focused analyses.
  • Build standard reports and dashboards in Oracle Data Visualizer and Business Intelligence.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis across customer, support operations, financial, and other subject areas.
  • Build and support automated analytics ETL pipelines with Python and SQL.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: 
    • Degree in Business with a focus on information systems, analytics or related
    • 8+ years working in an analyst / BI developer role
  • Minimum:
    • 5+ years working in an analyst / BI developer role
    • Automated data processing with Python or SQL across several projects
    • Providing insights into customer/employee performance across several projects
    • Design and build of several reports or dashboards in a tool like Oracle Analytics, Tableau, or similar.

US: Hiring Range: from $73,800 to $178,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
