The Role:

Are you a high-performing warehouse operations leader ready to take on a career-defining opportunity? General Motors (GM) is seeking a Warehouse Site Leader to lead our Lansing, MI national parts distribution center.  

 

GM’s Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) organization is a global organization that provides customer support and all post-vehicle purchase services, including vehicle parts, service, and support for recalls and warranties. CCA manages the supply chain for service parts and maintains a warehouse network comprised of Processing Centers, Redistribution Centers and Parts Distribution Centers where vehicle parts flow to fulfill customer orders The Lansing National Parts Distribution Center is one of 6 Michigan based CCA warehouses The Lansing site comprises 2.3M square feet of warehouse space for 200,000 unique part numbers.  The team of 180 represented UAW employees and over 40 salary/contract/3rd party employees safely fulfill 2.3M orders, generating annual revenue of $200M. 

 

What You'll Do:

As the Lansing Warehouse Site Leader, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Full site ownership across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement. 

  • Leading a large workforce of 220 salary and hourly employees. 

  • Driving operational excellence through strategic planning, continuous improvement, and change leadership. 

  • A $30MM Annual Operating budget, capital budgets, preventive maintenance, and delivery on financial targets (EBIT, revenue). 

  • Collaborating across the CCA network to align site performance with broader business goals. 

  • Building a high-performance work culture grounded in talent development, feedback, accountability, inclusion, and engagement Navigating labor relations with confidence and integrity. 

  

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) 

We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on leader with: 

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus. 

  • 10+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or operations leadership experience. 

  • Proven success in large-scale, high-volume environments, dynamic operations environments.  

  • Experience leading unionized teams or exposure working in a union environment. 

  • Strong background in warehouse management systems (Infor WMS preferred) and automation. 

  • A track record of leading through change and transformation.
