<p><u>Job Family</u>:</p>Sustainability Consulting<p><br/><u>Travel Required</u>:</p>Up to 25%<p><br/><u>Clearance Required</u>:</p>None<p></p><p></p><p><u>What You Will Do</u>:</p><ul><li>You will create direct impact by supporting clients along their sustainability journey while working together with your team to answer their questions. This includes - but is not limited to - data gathering and analysis, industry research, information synthesis, writing reports, stakeholder engagement, developing Excel models, preparing presentations and workshops, and presenting your findings to clients.</li><li>You will contribute to complex projects and will learn about project management by managing smaller projects.</li><li>You will work on diverse assignments which are connected to corporate sustainability and the energy transition in different ways. Some examples:<ul><li>Developing a decarbonization roadmap for an industry sector association</li><li>Developing a greenhouse-gas (GHG) footprint and setting GHG emissions targets for a global restaurant brand</li><li>Helping a federal agency define and strategize about environmental justice</li><li>Increasing climate literacy of thousands of key employees and suppliers</li><li>Implementing an emission tracking system for an entire city  </li><li>Setting up a sustainability programme for a global fashion company, including development of financing mechanisms</li><li>Supporting an industrial company to procure renewable electricity and transition on-site energy infrastructure to a lower carbon option, including designing and managing the related tendering process</li><li>Preparing market forecasts for low-carbon building technology providers</li><li>Analysing the ESG-related risks for investors into a global biotech firm</li><li>Assessing the climate risks and opportunities for a global food and beverage company</li></ul></li></ul><p><br/><u>What You Will Need</u>:</p><ul><li>Relevant experience &amp; training<ul><li>2-4 years working experience in related fields</li><li>Bachelors degree in engineering, energy science, economics, physics, mathematics, business, geography, and/or sustainability science (preferred)</li><li>Experienced and skilled with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word</li></ul></li><li>Strong quantitative &amp; analytical skills<ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>A critical thinker with a strong eye for detail</li><li>Able to show data collection and organizational skills</li><li>Working knowledge of data analytics and analysis software such as Power BI, R, Arc GIS etc. is a bonus</li></ul></li><li>Strong qualitative &amp; team skills<ul><li>Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills</li><li>Proven ability to summarize complex material into key findings and implications for our clients</li><li>A team player who demonstrates the willingness and ability to work effectively in diverse teams and collaborate with colleagues at all levels</li></ul></li><li>Flexibility<ul><li>Willingness to travel as needed by clients (currently remote)</li><li>Able to work on multiple projects and show a good understanding of the project objectives and client expectations</li></ul></li></ul><p>Additional requirements</p><ul><li>Proven extracurricular activities and/or experience aligned with the position</li><li>Familiarity with and demonstrable experience in one or more of the following:<ul><li>Sustainability (e.g., greenhouse gas accounting standards, circular economy, abatement strategies, ESG)</li><li>Climate risk, resilience, and adaptation (e.g., TCFD)</li><li>Life cycle assessments (LCAs)</li><li>Federal programs</li><li>Commercial real estate/property management/building engineering</li><li>ESG, social equity and environmental justice</li><li>Energy (e.g., hydrogen economy, advanced energy technologies, electricity power and gas industries)</li><li>Environmental and sustainability policy appraisal</li><li>Risk management, accounting, economic and financial impact analysis</li><li>Innovation (e.g., advancement of new ideas and technologies)</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><br/><u>What We Offer</u>:</p><p>Guidehouse offers a comprehensive, total rewards package that includes competitive compensation and a flexible benefits package that reflects our commitment to creating a diverse and supportive workplace.</p><p></p><p><u>About Guidehouse</u><br/>Guidehouse is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
