Licensed School Counselor

Discover Ranch South is a premier healthcare organization that provides experiential residential care to individuals. We are currently seeking a licensed school counselor to join our dedicated team. As a Licensed School Counselor, your role will help provide guidance and counseling services to our residents and help them take the first steps towards healing. With a passion for helping others and a commitment to mental healthcare, you will work alongside other licensed professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment to provide the best possible care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family academic counseling services to residents in a residential setting
• Collaborate with other licensed professionals in determining individualized treatment plans for each resident
• Monitor and evaluate the progress of residents and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss resident progress, treatment strategies, and other pertinent issues
• Follow ethical and legal standards for counseling and adhere to all facility policies and procedures
• Maintain detailed and accurate records for all residents
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

• A valid Utah license as a School Counselor
• Knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and practices
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of our residents
• Able to pass a background check
