What you will be doing:
This professional position works independently and collaboratively with the division’s Child Nutrition Programs and the Grants Unit and is expected to provide administration for multiple federal and state grants awarded to sub-grantees such as universities, state agencies, multiple local educational agencies, and non-profit agencies in accordance with federal and state statutes and regulations. This position is responsible for the fiscal and portions of the programmatic requirements for 50 grant programs comprised of over 230 sub-grants to state agencies, local education agencies and non-profits. Administers grants that are multi-year, complex and cross both federal and state fiscal years and could include any funding source. This position is also required to understand the other grant programs in order to support all staff within the Division.

We are interested in candidates who possess some or all of the following position specific competencies:

•Federal Funds Processing: Knowledge of methods and procedures for processing direct and reimbursable program funds (for example, automatic and funded reimbursements, interagency agreements, transfer appropriations), grants, loans, and credit programs.
•Principles of Finance: Knowledge of the basic principles, practices, and methods of financial management to include requisitions, apportionments, allotments, investments, fiscal management, activity reporting, and fiscal year guidelines.
•Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: uses a logical, systematic, sequential approach to address problems or opportunities or manage a situation by drawing on one’s knowledge and experience base and calling on other references and resources as necessary
