Position performs diagnostic radiographic examinations, applying principles of radiation protection and principles of effective patient care.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performs radiographic examinations per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
- Assists physicians with procedures, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs while assisting physician with patient support.
- Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences.
- Maintains documentation as requires, including patient files, performs data entry and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
- Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies.
- Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Assists with maintaining supplies.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
- Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).Ā
