Position Summary

Position performs diagnostic radiographic examinations, applying principles of radiation protection and principles of effective patient care.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Performs radiographic examinations per scanning protocols, correlating patient history with examination and presents study to physician for examination while adhering to patient schedules.
  • Assists physicians with procedures, obtains necessary supplies and equipment and monitors patient needs while assisting physician with patient support.
  • Enhances own professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and conferences.
  • Maintains documentation as requires, including patient files, performs data entry and completes paperwork needed for procedures/processes.
  • Develops film through automatic processing, monitoring darkroom supplies.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Assists with maintaining supplies.

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Radiography (R) Certification and Registration - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) or accredited radiography program.
  • Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire date
  • Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements).Ā

Salary Range

$27.00 - $41.87 / Hourly
