YOUR ROLE
Are you known for your attention to detail and analytical skills? Are you passionate about delivering innovative support to supply chain customers? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Trains, develops and mentors logistics staff to include on the job training, assisting with prioritizing and assigning work, and providing work direction.
  • Performs a variety of calculations, analyses and audits of financial and operational results; typically involves the most specialized and comprehensive professional related supply chain principles.   
  • Ensures processes and operations complies with applicable laws, rules and regulations; assists with interpretation within area and applies across operations.
  • Develops proposals or reports to outline current or proposed logistics solutions; operations are the most specialized and comprehensive in nature.
  • Prepares presentations for senior management regarding recommendations of studies and projects; may assist with presenting information.
  • Reviews and responds to specialized and comprehensive internal or external customer requests which includes applying transportation principles, drafting responses and outlines, and other professional support. 
  • Coordinates technical internal resources to respond to internal or external customer requests, such as determining types of teams or projects required, allocating questions to staff, and overseeing the gathering of responses. 
  • Develops specialized or more comprehensive metrics and goals for programs, oversees performance, and works with staff when potential problems are identified to bring to resolution.
  • Oversees the technical communication with internal or external customers, to include potentially serving as a customer contact on overall performance, sensitive or specialized issues, and facilitating communications with management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation, Operations or Supply Chain Management or equivalent education and experience. Master’s Degree in related field preferred. At least five years of experience, including some specialized or complex work.

 

Credentials

 Professional certification may be required in some areas.

 

Other skills/Experiences

  • Applying more comprehensive professional principles and practices related transportation and logistics.
  • Leveraging several systems and databases for transportation and logistics management.
  • Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of specialized databases through auditing, reviews, and analysis.
  • Assisting with applying applicable laws, rules and regulations and ensuring compliance across operations. 
  • Developing comprehensive analytics, reports and communications within transportation and logistics.
  • Overseeing customer and operational communications and interaction. 
  • Overseeing the development of metrics and measurements for transportation and logistics programs. 
  • Reviewing operational claims, failures or damages, performs root cause and other reviews to determine responsibility and corrective action.
  • Training and mentoring staff and providing work direction.
  • Communicating more specialized and comprehensive transportation and logistics information.
