Senior Technical Product Manager for CI/CD and Automation

Toast’s Foundation Product Team is looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager who will create and drive the strategy for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and Deployment at Toast. This encompasses the platform, tooling and practices required to support a best in class CI/CD experience including source code and repository management products as well as platform and infrastructure provisioning and automation.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

• Identify opportunities to reduce the lead time to change across multiple developer personas
• Research and evaluate the best CI/CD platform and infrastructure provisioning and automation technologies and products
• Provide a great user experience for application and infrastructure changes across multiple environments
• Ensure product development and platform teams can safely update their changes across multiple environments in a scalable and timely manner
• Ensure security, compliance and quality guardrails are inbuilt to all CI/CD and source code, repository management and orchestration products
• Understand the impact and drive adoption of any new platform changes across the company

Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)

• Experience driving company wide adoption of platform tooling and best practices
• Outcome focused Product management experience with skills in user research, industry research and product frameworks
• Knowledge and experience with of CI/CD platforms and best practices
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation
• Knowledge of source code management and repository management
• Understanding of Cloud technologies and AWS in particular
• Developer and QA engineer empathy 
• Technical experience, preferably in software development. Note: role would also be suitable for an architect/technical lead looking to get more product focused experience.
• BSc in Computer Science, CompEng or equivalent technical field
