The Team:
S&P Enterprise Data Management Team (EDM) is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a global team of Cloud Engineers to support our data management platform used for acquiring, validating and distributing trade, operational, risk, financial and customer data.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Deep knowledge of AWS technologies such as EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, EBS, RDS, AMIs, IAM, FSX, Active Directory, DNS, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS etc.
- 5-8 years of experience in a highly complex technical AWS operations environment with expertise on supporting Windows 2016/2019 server environments
- Networking administration experience, Good understanding of VPN, Peering, Routing, NACL, ALB/NLB, Security Groups, Access Control
- Good to have experience with configuration and deployment management in a scripting language like Ansible. In this context knowledge of AWS Cloud formation/Azure Devops/Terraform helpful to run multi-server application stacks.
- MS SQL Server – Standard and Enterprise deployment setup and Understanding of HA setups
- Person should be open to work in rotational shift including weekends and holidays
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,061 to $160,600. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- University degree, preferably engineering graduate or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills are needed to describe hosted offerings, and solutions across a wide range of requirements, and convey different levels from management to clients.
- Proven track record of supporting cloud hosted windows-based applications.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years of practical experience in AWS Cloud Administration preferably AWS certified Solutions Architect or Equivalent
- Strong Analytical skills, Presentation skills, and ability to work under pressure
