Perform detailed financial, qualitative and legal analysis of financially leveraged capital structures using niche knowledge of corporate finance, bankruptcy law and knowledge of other niche investment asset classes. Perform legal contract analysis for financial investment terms and conditions using experience reading and understanding corporate credit securities and/or ABS documentation. Evaluate investment opportunities for organization’s Credit Group using different valuation methodologies (e.g., Discounted Cash Flow, Dividend Discount Model, Trading Multiples, etc.) across various sectors. Build and maintain full three statements (Profit and Losses, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and cash flow projection Financial Models, including valuation and returns modules, debt financing structures, and credit metrics for potential investment opportunities and current companies in organization’s portfolio using experience with cash flow modeling and knowledge of evaluating debt financing structures, cash flows, and returns on investment (ROIs).  Prepare required materials to present investment opportunities to the internal Investment Committee, including different valuation scenarios, fund returns, a full-opportunity assessment, and transaction structuring. Work with Credit Group to perform detailed due diligence of potential investment opportunities and economic factors for a range of industries by reviewing legal, technical, operational, and financial data of the investment target. Identify potential risks in investment opportunities and work with the Credit Group to create risk mitigation strategies for investments. Research and monitor major market trends and events in the global markets in order to identify potential new investment opportunities and/or risks in existing investments.

 

Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, Finance or Investment Analysis and three (3) years of experience in job offered or three (3) years of financial credit analysis/research experience for financial services and/or investment/asset management company.

 

Some domestic travel may be required, including travel to organization’s headquarter office in Dallas, TX
