Job Description   Job Title  Oncology Financial Services Manager Job Code   Department/Postion #   Pay Grade   Reports to: Vice President Position Description/Summary Identify and obtain grants, free drugs, and co-pay assistance for the oncology patients receiving their care at OLOL Cancer Institute. This position reports to the VP of the Cancer Institute and collaborates with the revenue cycle team to maximize the current processes (denials and billing opportunities) within the Cancer Service Institute. Engage with the oncology patients to assist with managing their financial responsibilites for their cancer treatment. Performance  Expectation   b.  Manage the patient relationship with the patient and the facility regarding financial obligations for their infusion treatments. Performance  Expectation   c.  Serve as a resource for the patients to educate and guide them regarding their financial responsibilities associated with their oncology treatment. Performance  Expectation   b.  Initiate Grant applications to support the patient treatments and sustain the financial integrity of the Cancer Institute. Performance  Expectation   c.  Foster the relationship between the denials and scheduling team as it pertains to the oncology patients and their treatment. Performance  Expectation   b.  Support the oncology clinical team with best practices for managing denials and revenue capture. Performance  Expectation   c.  Facilitate the revenue capture for Grants that have been awarded to patients being treated in the Cancer Institute.
