Summary of Duties:
As a Administrative Assistant 2 you will assist the Finance and Budget Manager for the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences in all aspects of performing technical and fiscal analysis and financial reporting including analysis, planning, interpreting and review of fiscal operations . Under general direction perform a variety of fiscal support functions that pertain to personnel, faculty and staff and effect state, contracts, and grant funds for various agencies. You will establish and maintain a comprehensive fiscal record keeping system and coordinate diverse unit wide fiscal support with functions in payroll, travel, procurement and budget planning.
Required Qualifications:
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher.
Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Experience in Online Position Description & Recruitment System
(OPDRS) Personnel and Payroll Workday applications.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word).
Knowledge of WSU Business Policies and Procedures (BPPM).
Experience in higher education, local or state agency, or equivalent.
Ability to multi-task and move proficiently from task to task.

Monthly Salary: $3,239 to $4,299 | Range 37 Steps A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
