As a key member of the People Services team, you will serve as a trusted HR partner, advisor, and subject matter expert across a broad range of people programs and initiatives. This role combines hands-on HR execution with business partnership, helping employees and managers navigate HR programs, policies, and workplace challenges while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen operations, and enhance the employee experience.

Working closely with leaders across People Services, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Shared Services, this role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys solving complex challenges, leading initiatives, influencing positive change, and serving as a trusted resource across the organization.

While this is not a formal people management role, it offers the opportunity to lead projects, contribute to the development of People Services programs, and grow as a senior partner within the function.

What You'll Be Doing

Employee Relations, Compliance & HR Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted resource to employees, managers, and People Services team members, providing guidance on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, HR policies, and best practices.
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment regulations while balancing compliance requirements with practical business needs.
  • Participate in annual compliance activities, including KPFF's Affirmative Action Plan, EEO filings, and other required federal and state reporting.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations and recommend policy, process, and communication updates to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Partner with People Services leadership on policy development, investigations, documentation, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and People Services leadership to maintain job descriptions, policies, and HR programs that support compliance and organizational goals.

Benefits, Leave Administration & HR Programs

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on benefits and leave programs, partnering closely with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Provide guidance and support related to benefit plans, leave administration, eligibility, enrollments, and program policies.
  • Respond to employee questions and resolve complex benefits and leave issues with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate and support annual Open Enrollment activities, including employee communications, system updates, and program administration.
  • Partner with the Leaves Specialist and other People Services team members to ensure consistent administration of leave programs across multiple states.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and support ongoing audits and reporting related to benefits, leaves, and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, communications, and employee understanding of benefit and leave programs.

HR Operations, Analytics & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Leverage HR data, reporting, and insights to support decision-making, identify trends, and improve People Services programs and processes.
  • Support compensation initiatives, including salary benchmarking, market surveys, and compensation analysis.
  • Ensure HR data integrity through audits, reporting reviews, and collaboration with Payroll and Benefits partners.
  • Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition to improve workflows, streamline processes, and create scalable solutions that enhance the employee experience.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives that strengthen People Services programs, processes, and organizational effectiveness.

Collaboration, Communication & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner closely with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and People Services team members
