Senior Financial Analyst, External Reporting

 

This position will be key contributor in preparation of all external financial reporting documents and related SEC filings and will also assist in Technical Accounting and Corporate Accounting functions. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives with challenging opportunities and strict deadlines on a consistent basis. Position is based at the Company headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports (10-Q and 10- K) and current reports (8-K).
• Work with various personnel and departments to collect information and input into the above referenced reports; prepare support files; challenge the appropriateness of disclosures; complete all relevant disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires.
• Review referenced reports for compliance with SEC reporting XBRL requirements.
• Prepare monthly analysis and journal entry for the elimination of intercompany profit in inventory (PII). Resolve questions and provide insights on impact to gross margin. Collaborate with Supply Chain and FP&A to understand inventory trends.
• Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, FASB, PCAOB, or other regulators and prepare necessary memos and documentation under direction of Technical Accounting.
• Develop and maintain annual statutory audit tracker and report status to CAO and Assistant Corporate Controller.
• Prepare quarterly segment allocation analysis for P&L and review with management.
• Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures. Prepare quarterly memo regarding new accounting standards under direction of Technical Accounting.
