The Avionics Summer Engineering Project Program (SEPP) is our elite summer studentship established in 1995. Business relevant projects from various directorates are selected to support research, on campus partnerships, and introduce students to engineering rigor and challenges. During the summer, interns will work with their manager and technical mentor to define a project plan and reach scoped milestones.

We’re looking for a talented intern to join our Summer Engineering Project Program (SEPP), supporting the development of applications using event or neuromorphic camera sensors within Aerospace applications. This internship will provide an opportunity for you to explore emerging camera technology and how it can be used in a flight deck to support future flight display technology. Join a supportive team of Engineers in achieving our goals together.

What You Will Do:

  • Build software package to interface with emerging neuromorphic camera sensing solutions
  • Integrate new software packages into existing C++ software and update software as required
  • Evaluate sensor capabilities in lab environment to solve problems like head or eye tracking
  • Prepare and present project efforts to a larger audience of engineers

What You Will Learn:

  • Experience creating software for future Aerospace applications
  • Experience operating in a real-world R&D effort
  • How to integrate camera data into vision-based software applications

Qualifications You Must Have:

Qualifications we Prefer:

  • Experience with C++ and experience writing software applications
  • Experience with Image Processing, OpenCV, or similar
  • Experience with neuromorphic cameras
  • Experience creating software interfaces with cameras
  • Experience with 3D Pose determination or vision based tracking applications
