Job Description
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, publicize, schedule, promote, administer, and evaluate Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Adult Leagues, Youth Programs, and Summer Camp programs.
Oversee the planning, coordination, staffing, marketing, and evaluation of revenue-generating programs, including adult leagues, youth sports, summer camp, and other fee-based programs as assigned.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate youth coaches, camp counselors, intramural officials, and other student or part-time staff assigned to program areas.
Develop and implement marketing and advertising strategies to recruit youth participants, adult league teams, summer camp families, and other paid program participants.
Track revenue, expenses, registrations, participation numbers, and program performance for assigned paid programs.
Assist with budget creation, revenue projections, expense tracking, and profit and loss reporting for assigned revenue-generating programs.
Evaluate the financial performance of assigned programs and make recommendations for pricing, staffing, marketing, scheduling, and operational improvements.
Conduct Intramural Official clinics as needed.
Oversee all Intramural Officials.
Oversee the eSports Café, eSports programming, and related events.
Oversee various Club Sports programs and work directly with the president of each club to support operations, compliance, scheduling, and student leadership development.
Oversee IMLeagues intramural software for student participation, registration, scheduling, communication, and program tracking.
Maintain inventory of all Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Youth Programs, Adult Leagues, Summer Camp, and Open Play athletic equipment.
Serve as departmental liaison with LSU New Orleans students, faculty, staff, families, community members, adult league participants, and local youth program partners.
Coordinate scheduling of gym floor space and field space for Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Adult Leagues, Youth Programs, Summer Camp, and other assigned programs.
Assist the Director and Associate Director with the production, review, and implementation of departmental guidelines, procedures manuals, training materials, and student employee handbooks.
Participate in continuing professional development through attendance at professional seminars, conferences, trainings, and LCIRSA state tournaments.
Prepare professional travel arrangements, including required authorizations, according to LSU New Orleans policy.
Serve on University committees as requested by the Director.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director.

Supervision given: Supervision given to Student staff, intramural staff and camp counselors
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, Kinesiology, Business Administration, Education, Higher Education, or a related field.
Minimum of three years of progressive experience in campus recreation, recreational sports, youth programming, summer camp administration, adult leagues, intramural sports, athletics, or a related program management setting.
Experience supervising, training, scheduling, and evaluating student employees, part-time staff, officials, coaches, camp counselors, or program staff.
Experience planning, coordinating, marketing, and evaluating structured programs, leagues, tournaments, camps, clinics, or youth/adult recreational programs.
Experience with budget tracking, revenue monitoring, registration systems, spreadsheets, participation data, or basic profit-and-loss reporting for fee-based programs.
