The Director, Process Development plays a critical role within R&D and is responsible for leading a team of process engineers and managing the development of new processes for new and existing products. This includes leading all process development strategies and validating new process technology from the pilot plant, as well as creation of process design scopes to the commissioning and start up.
Ways you will make a difference
- Direct the development of processes for new and existing products for the most efficient production.
- Oversee the management of the Pilot plant operation, as well as capital projects and budget.
- Provide technical guidance to enable successful start-ups and scale-ups of formulas between R&D and Engineering
- Scout the market to identify new technologies as they are presented and participate in trials with potential co-manufacturers.
- Lead and develop a team of 5-8 direct reports across varying levels of experience.
- Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experiences that will support your success
- Bachelor's degree and/or Masters in Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience, with 5+ years of confections experience
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
