Senior IT Technical Specialist - Digital Business Transformation

The Senior IT Technical Specialist Digital Business Transformation, focusing on Enterprise Strategy, is responsible for driving IT initiatives that support Labcorp’s key priorities across the enterprise:

1) Integrate data, AI, digitization and analytics across the business

2) Leverage our capabilities across our diagnostics and drug development businesses

3) Intensify customer focus

4) Focus on high-growth opportunities.

This cross-functional role will work across various groups within IT and throughout the enterprise to understand, the value of digital technologies in advancing these key priorities, gain stakeholder support, drive implementation and adoption of technologies, and communicate status and successes with executive leadership.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Understanding the value of digital technologies in advancing five key priorities
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes and technical infrastructure across the enterprise to provide solutions tailored to the needs of each key priority.
  • Evaluate current and future business needs to recommend applicable solutions to improve current systems and help assess relative priorities for both business process and technology solutions.
  • Identifying technology improvements to support key priorities and developing business case to analyze feasibility and impact

• Gaining stakeholder support
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop effective business models.
  • Work with customers, business users and management to develop a prioritized list of project ideas and bring these ideas to life.
  • Maintaining regular communication with executive sponsors’ designees to ensure technology needs for key priorities are met

• Driving implementation and adoption of new technologies as needed
  • Collaborate with local teams to lead customer needs analysis discussions and assist in the generation and design of Digital & Informatics solutions to drive industry adoption
  • Partnering closely with business leaders, to propose innovative and/or strategic process and technology solutions to maximize value to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, develop strategic rationale and business cases for digitization and/or automation opportunities to advance key priorities and establishing change management strategies as needed

• Communicating status and successes with executive leadership
  • Developing and implementing regular communication format and cadence to ensure enterprise IT Director of Digital Business Transformation and executive teams are aware of status and successes across all five key priorities.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in strategic planning, software development, IT business analysis, product management, and/or business process improvement
• Exceptionally strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proven track record of delivering results
• Normally requires BS Degree in Computer Science with 10 years experience in related field
