Job Description

Business Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing key suppliers for specific material field (Mentorships)
• Negotiation of contracts for the nominated suppliers ( incl  global projects)
• Ensure policy deployment targets are fulfilled for the assigned (sub) material fields.
• Actively engage with plant colleagues and IBT – Global Category, Sr Category Expert  for defining strategies
• Prepare Sub-material field strategy for nominated sub material fields.

Delivery Responsibilities

• Check purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders on time
• Plan and conduct RFPs to ensure timely renewal of the contracts & Increase contract coverage.
• Support for issues related to contracting and contract compliance.

• Plan and develop actions to meet or exceed key KPI deliverables as outlined in policy deployment targets.
• Prepare monthly status reports outlining – RFP status, Savings and other key KPI s like Automation. Supply base reduction, Payment terms etc.
• Drive Process improvements

• Indirect Purchasing Results – savings, automation etc.
• Process compliance

Functional Skills/Competencies

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, charts, graphs, etc.) and SAP experience
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other functions/suppliers and foster teamwork.
• Strong self-motivation to achieve policy deployment targets.
• Positive attitude
• Knowledge of the market in terms of varying portfolio of Professional services (Consulting, Temp Labor etc)
• Market know how of costing of resources for varied skill set and experience levels in Professional services & various models of outsourcing.
• Awareness and tracking of the market environment and dynamics for the respective material field.
• Advanced negotiation techniques.
• Familiar with international working environment
• Excellent  project management skills

Other Workplace Considerations: 

• Ability to support teams working out of North American Time Zones

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Business
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain roles, in Professional Services or other Services 
• 3+ years of experience with MS Office 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• SAP or other ERP systems experience 
• Awareness and application of basic principles, strategies & instruments of purchasing.
• Negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results.
• Self-motivated to define and drive continuous improvement of processes
• Excellent communication skills, initiative and personal accountability
• Organized and excellent communication and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate and conduct business discussion fluently in English.
• Experience in key technologies Digital Marketing is  an advantage
• CPM certification
• Experience in writing, understanding and using legal contracts & SAP reporting.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish / German would be beneficial.
