Description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of congenital cardiac surgery. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Thoracic Surgery or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and residents clinically and didactically.

Clinical responsibilities may include care for pediatric cardiac surgery patients and adults with congenital heart disease.

The successful candidate will have experience in the entire breadth of congenital cardiac surgery from newborns to adults. This position will be focused at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, the nation's oldest pediatric hospital and consistently ranked among the best. Candidates will also operate at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for those adult patients with congenital heart disease.
