Inventory and Warehouse CS Specialist

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

The primary purpose of the Inventory and Warehouse CS Specialist is to safely, accurately, and efficiently perform necessary inventory control duties in a distribution warehouse and serve as a liaison to Customer Service and Purchasing, primarily in the areas of returns and will-call orders. This position has a deeper knowledge of how inventory is managed in Acumatica, how will-call orders and returns are processed, has professional communication skills between internal and external customers, in addition to a deep understanding of normal warehousing functions such as picking, receiving, and shipping.

Key Accountabilities:

• Inventory Control: Perform regular cycle counts, audit slow moving and obsolete inventory for disposition, investigate warehouse errors and other issues, and effectively communicate resolutions. Coach warehouse and production staff on errors and train staff in processes revolving around keeping inventory accurate.
• Stocking: Accurately place product in proper locations, record part numbers and quantities in system. Verify location accuracy and update locations as needed. Perform inventory counts as needed.
• Process Returns: Process all incoming returns, communicate to and follow up with vendors for credits, keep returns area organized, clean, and up to date. Work in tandem with the Purchasing department to resolve vendor issues. Communicate to customers the status of returns.
• Will Call: Process will call orders, follow up with customers on late pickups, and perform RTS (Return to Stock) functions, as well as a basic understanding of order entry to create or cancel orders as needed. Keep will call areas organized, clean, and up to date. Work in tandem with the Customer Service department to resolve any will call issues.
• Backup Warehouse Functions: Act as a backup to the Warehouse and Production areas as needed, including picking, shipping, receiving, unloading/loading trucks, forklift operation, machine operation, assembly tasks, etc.
• Other: 
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas, racking, aisles, and overall warehouse.
• Continually look for ways to improve processes and systems to make them more efficient and effective.
• Comply with quality and safety standards.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Regularly communicate with other internal departments regarding product information, customer requirements or vendor information.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.
• Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Suite programs.
• Professional level written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification.  Forklift experience preferred.
• Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and reach.
• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
• Temperature fluctuations with dock doors opening and closing.
