<p>Position description </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The candidate will work within a dynamic team of dedicated professionals and will be responsible for delivering excellent service to business customers, achieving growth and retention sales targets in respect of retail gas, retail electricity, and including energy services as required.</p>

<p> </p>
<p>Key Responsibilities </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to the development of sales, customer relationship and marketing strategy in the gas and electricity and energy services retail area.</li>
<li>Lead the drive for sales growth and retention through delivery of agreed sales objectives/targets with particular emphasis on the upper levels of the I&C sectors.</li>
<li>Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the operation of the gas and electricity and energy services markets in Ireland so as to contribute positively to Electric Ireland’s strategic objectives.</li>
<li>Develop and manage relationships with customers and other industry stakeholders including brokers, consultants, trade bodies and service providers.</li>
<li>Manage a customer base through proactive contact including regular visits to customer premises.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of customers businesses and needs.</li>
<li>Deliver timely and courteous customer service and communications to customers and stakeholders via phone, e-mail and face to face, in line with company policies, sale and marketing strategy and brand values.</li>
<li>Issuing electricity and gas sales quotations two customers, assisting with customer retention campaigns and generating customer reports.</li>
<li>Tailor and implement customized service solutions to meet the needs of individual customers and groups.</li>
<li>Proactively gather customer, market and competitor intelligence and feed some back for analysis.</li>
<li>Identifying and communicate changing customer needs.</li>
<li>Identify areas for process improvement and for customized service solutions to meet the needs of specific customers and groups.</li>
<li>Identify and deliver customer hospitality opportunities as appropriate.</li>
<li>Demonstrate leadership through taking responsibility for defined projects, major public tenders, stakeholder relationships, product development, marketing, staff development, ETC</li>
</ul>

<p>This position entails close working relationships with other areas of the business including Trading, Pricing, Operations, Finance and Marketing in addition to the wider business markets area.</p>

<p>Experience & Qualifications </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Essential </p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li>Professional third level qualification or equivalent in sales, marketing or an engineering discipline with at least three years sales experience and/or account management in a competitive market environment.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong customer service focus.</li>
<li>Analyzing data, problem solving and decision making.</li>
<li>Excellent planning and organizing skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Innovation and creativity to adapt to change in environments/ circumstances.</li>
<li>Ability to build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the operation of the gas and electricity and energy services markets in Ireland so as to contribute positively to Electric Ireland’s strategic objectives.</li>
<li>Ability to develop and manage relationships with customers and other industry stakeholders including brokers, consultants, trade bodies and service providers.</li>
