Sentara Home Care Services is hiring a full time Patient Account Representative.

The Patient Account Representative II communicates with third party payors to determine action needed to get payor to process and pay outstanding claims. Documents, processes and re-submits claims to payors. Submits appeals of denied claims. Identifies problems hindering processing of claims and suggests solutions

Shift: Monday - Friday (7a-4p) -- Hybrid Work Option Available

Qualifications:

  • 3 years hospital billing experience required
  • High School Grad or Equivalent required

Job Summary

Communicates with third party payors to determine action needed to get payor to process and pay outstanding claims. Documents, processes and re-submits claims to payors. Submits appeals of denied claims. Identifies problems hindering processing of claims and suggests solutions.

Three years experience in hospital billing required. A healthcare certificate from an accredited program like AAHAM, HFMA, ECPI or college program may be substituted for one year.
