Sr. Regional Business Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of application life cycle management, optimization, and modernization for terminal applications. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid background in process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully analyzing data, processes, and workflows while coordinating with cross-functional teams to develop and sustain creative solutions that meet customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate application changes and enhancement initiatives from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to global standard change management policies and procedures, enhancement scope, and timeline.
• Use independent judgment and discretion to compile analysis of application testing, make data-driven decisions on the impact to project testing and deployment timelines, and communicate the test results and project timeline changes to all stakeholders.
• Create and maintain test case documents and plans for software enhancements and changes.
• Create and maintain process maps and flow charts for terminal applications.
• Deploy new standard capabilities within terminal applications that align with the organization’s modernization agenda.
• Direct third-party vendors in enhancement and technical debt prioritization efforts to provide internal and external customers with reliable and modern solutions.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communication, providing regular enhancement and release cycle updates as needed.
• Collaborate with other regional and local teams as well as third-party vendors to ensure underlying enablers (e.g., IT infrastructure, database) are in place and meet the requirements to ensure a secure, highly reliable and robust application environment.

Accountabilities

• ·         Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within the Regional Terminal Application team, and with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders.
• ·         Lead by example, adapt to changing circumstances, make sound decisions, resolve problems and develop rapport with stakeholders.
• Participate actively on all Cyber Programs, stay alert, and monitor the vulnerability status of all terminal applications, and work with the Cyber teams to mitigate all cyber vulnerabilities.

• ·         Development and deployment of new terminal applications and enhancements across the region. 
• ·         Changes to Enterprise Architecture standards and Global Change Management standards. 
• ·         Changes to the (global) sourcing of specific technology components. 
• ·         Impact assessment of new global DPP initiatives. 
• IT/OT Infrastructure related changes/initiatives globally and/or at terminals within the region. 

Size of Business Handled

• Regional Terminal Applications budget of $700K+. 
• Regional Terminal Applications for all 13 terminals in the Americas Region.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis and process improvement within the Shipping and Logistics Industry and/or Terminal Operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Proficiency in Lean method
