About the role

We are looking for a Revenue Manager with strong technical accounting, strategic, and operational skills to join our Stryker Vocera Revenue team. This will be a highly motivated business partner who will collaborate with the Sales, Sales Ops, R&D, Marketing and Legal departments. This subject matter expert on ASC 606 software revenue recognition will guide the business in various areas, including contract reviews, non-standard deals negotiations, and new product introductions. You will also perform month end close tasks and help drive bookings and revenue goals through strategic decision making. What you will do

  • Partner with key stakeholders (sales, sales operations, R&D, marketing and legal) to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment for all new product offerings, promotional models, and new go-to-market strategies.

  • Review deals desk exceptions to evaluate revenue recognition impacts and propose solutions that align with internal policies and company objectives.

  • Help research, resolve, operationalize and educate on complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions.

  • Drive the month end and quarter-end processes for the revenue team while supporting FP&A in building bookings and revenue forecasts.

  • Prepare SSP analysis, and work with our internal/external auditors.

  • Uphold and ensure compliance of SOX 404 Key Controls

  • Maintain and provide audit support as requested by internal and external auditors.

  • Assist with continuous process improvements and adoption of best practices.

  • Participate in special projects including acquisition integration and IT system implementations.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent required; CPA certification or equivalent strongly preferred

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience either at a public accounting firm or high-tech organization required; 4+ years in a revenue-specific role

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and primarily revenue recognition (ASC 606) as it relates to on-premise software revenue and cloud based subscription preferred

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and intermediate experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience with SAP and RevPro preferred

$98,000 - $210,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 10%
