Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Integrated circuit (IC) or MEMS manufacturing engineer who can lead the introduction of new MEMS fab products and manufacturing processes into production. Strong facilitation skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex topics will be important.
You will collaborate with other manufacturing engineers, production leaders, maintenance, purchasing, quality, production operators, design engineers and program management. The challenges and opportunities are unlimited for this position. This is an onsite role that will put you right were the action is!
Collaborate with design engineers, other manufacturing engineers, production operators, and tool technicians to support the fabrication (production) of Micro Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) devices.
Generate and update manufacturing documentation for new manufacturing processes
Proactively work to evaluate, characterize, and mitigate risks and failure modes of new processes and products
Identify process capability gaps and work with design engineering to address
Provide critical feedback on issues that need design and development solutions
Work with key stakeholder to implement process controls
Facilitate communication between the integrated project team functions (Design, Operations, Quality, Project Management, etc.)
Identify and drive cost saving opportunities and/or performance improvement.
Work with key teams to define and validate specs and to mitigate known and potential yield and quality gaps
Lead the development of Process Flows, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
Support NPI and Design teams in the development of new fabrication processes.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
2+ years of experience as an Integrated circuit (IC) or MEMS manufacturing engineer.
1+ year of experience with New Product Introduction.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
Integrated circuit (IC) and/or MEMS fabrication experience.
Cleanroom experience.
SPC experience.
Statistical design of experiments.
Aviation industry experience.
