Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Work on the Leadership Team setting the direction and goals for the company.  Establish company levels goals, expectations.
• Hold yourself, and the leadership team to the highest standards for performance and culture.
• Help identify new opportunities for growth.
• Work in tandem with the members of the R&D Team to set the strategic direction, goals, and metrics specific to R&D

Team Management

• Coach and Mentor the R&D team to achieve personal and professional goals.
• Ensure that the project time is being fulfilled and that the priorities are set.
• Manage the systems and processes in place to achieve growth goals and create a time/space for creative and innovative thought.

Technical Expert

• Provide technical direction and oversight to the R&D team.
• Provide technical support to the customer service and commercial team

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or science related field.  MBA preferred.
• 4+ years of experience on an executive leadership team.
• Experience working in and around chemicals in a variety of chemistry applications.
• 3+ years of experience leading a R&D Lab, focused on chemistry.

Bonus points for anyone with these qualifications:

• Experience in the home improvement or building products industry
• Fluency in Spanish
