Medical Records Clerk at Facility (61143)

Pay Rate: $17-$29/hour

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Full-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team at Maryland Correctional Institution - Jessup in Jessup, Maryland.

The Medical Records Clerk maintains offender health records, retrieves health records for scheduled appointments, files offender health data, initiates records for new or transferred intakes.  They review health records for completeness, files records as required, prepares reports as needed and more.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm 

• High School diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification by the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician preferred
• Prior experience with medical records systems and services
• Completion of a medical terminology course preferred
  Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
  Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
