What is the Senior Sales Trainer responsible for?
The Senior Sales Trainer will play a critical role in helping our sales team reach their full potential by creating, maintaining, and delivering industry leading training for Franklin Templeton sales teams that follows our Well-Rounded Consultant model. Topics include Capital Markets, Portfolio Construction, Product, Territory Management and Client Centric Selling skills.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Senior Sales Trainer?
Develop and implement sales training programs and strategies for sales teams.
Conduct training sessions and workshops for sales teams to improve their product knowledge, selling skills, and overall effectiveness.
Collaborate with product specialists and subject matter experts to design and deliver effective training materials, including presentations, job aids, and e-learning modules.
Create and maintain a library of training resources, including manuals, videos, and other instructional materials.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve results.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to sales teams to ensure they are meeting their targets and objectives.
Work closely with sales managers and other stakeholders to identify training needs and develop customized training programs to meet those needs.
Act in registered principal capacity to review and approve training content in conjunction with compliance guidelines.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in asset management sales or a related field.
Proven track record of success in sales training and development.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to design and deliver effective training programs and materials.
Familiarity with asset management products, services, and industry trends.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Willingness to travel as needed to deliver training programs and support sales teams (15-20%).
Series 7, 63 FINRA Licenses required. Series 24 FINRA license required (or willing to obtain shortly after hire).
CIMA, CFP or CFA a plus

Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $135,000 – $160,000.
