Job Description
As Director, Value Creation and Strategic Operations, you will have a dynamic and broad role within the M&A Integrations team as well as the office of the CEO. You will report into the SVP of Integrations / Chief of Staff (member of the Executive Leadership Team), with exposure to top executive leadership at Norstella as well as our Private Equity investors. Your role will consist of two primary functions: 1) leading the analytical work in support of integrations; and 2) supporting the Chief of Staff and CEO in developing analyses and business cases for company-wide value creation initiatives. You will have direct involvement in major strategic and operational aspects of the business.
To succeed in this position, you will:
- Support planning and decision making for highly impactful integration and enterprise-wide value creation initiatives
- Analyze data and create/maintain models (financial, others) for decision support
- Perform variance analysis between actual results and forecasts/budgets, be able to bridge and explain variance drivers
- Communicate resulting models, recommendations, or activities to key stakeholders
- Increase productivity by developing or assisting in the development of automated reporting or related models using existing Norstella platforms and tools (Excel, Tableau, Smartsheet)
- Follow internal process workflows, standards, and change management protocols for projects / analysis being conducted
- Build relationships cross functionally in the organization
- Partner and effectively engage with the executive leadership team
- Establish best practices for functional analysis and modeling to support M&A integration and value-creation activities
- Perform ad-hoc duties and analyses as required
Requirements
- 4-8 years of business finance or other relevant experience
- Preference for experience in investing or consulting, but not required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA desired but not required
- High proficiency in financial analysis
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills (PPT, presentation delivery); experience communicating clearly and concisely complex and / or difficult concepts to internal and external stakeholders and senior leaders
- Demonstrated capability to understand details, evaluate data, and provide insight / counsel to others. Demonstrated high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, confidence, and creativity in the ability to problem solve with minimal supervision
- Project management skills. Ability to create structure and organize work. Skilled at condensing details and identifying key takeaways and next steps
- Experience with M&A, systems integrations, process mapping or process workflow improvements a plus
Travel: 10%, mostly internal meetings
Location: Remote (100%). Though would have access to Norstella office space

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $210,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range.
