We are currently seeking a Laboratory Research II Associate II to join our diverse and dynamic team. As a Research Associate II at ICON, you will be responsible for providing advanced support in the coordination and execution of clinical trials and research projects. You will play a vital role in data management, protocol adherence, and the overall success of studies aimed at advancing new treatments and therapies.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform a variety of routine and specialized administrative and animal research functions in support of Principal and Associate Investigators and Administrative Officer within the branch.
- Experimental planning assistance, data collection, procurement of supplies/equipment, and maintain experimental records.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using instruments and methods to include but not limited to rodent and large animal TBI models, behavior and physiological testing, histology, neuroimaging, as well as cellular and molecular biology in order to support development of promising therapeutic strategies.
- Perform quantitative analytical assessments of changes in molecular and cellular mediators underlying responses to stressors, injury, and countermeasures to these disruptions using histopathological, biomedical, and molecular techniques such as immunohistochemistry, enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), western blot, arrays, bioenergetic profiling, genomic extractions, and quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR).
- Maintain a laboratory inventory of chemical reagents and surgical supplies, communicate with equipment suppliers and other vendors regarding price quotes, product specifications, and other support.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree, or, in lieu of degree, 5 years of highly relevant experience.
- At least 3 years of experience.
