Role: Senior Java Developer (hands-on)Internal (Client) title: VP/AVP Front Office Developer

Deliverables

• Hands-on development using Java 17 as the primary language
• Work with other teams including front office risk teams, trading desk, Quants, and DevOps to build pricing and risk solutions
• Continuous improvement of the development and release environment, tooling, and processes
• Directly working Rates business front office sales and trading
• Work closely with the operation team and users and provide level 3 support as required
• Understanding complex business models
• Delivering under pressure
• High-performance software and mission-critical applications
• Working with a diverse global team and user base

About you

• 5-7+ years of Core Java (17)
• 2-3 years of Microservices, Spring, Spring Boot, Kafka is ideal
• Strong background in OOD
• Financial services/fixed income knowledge/experience preferred
• Experience working in the pricing and risk domain in investment banking
• In-depth knowledge of Rates products
• Strong fundamental Computer Science knowledge including concurrency, algorithms and data structures, multi-threading and API design and development
• Scrum/agile methodology
• Evidence of delivering application from inception, to design and to production
• Extensive experience of test-driven development
• Knowledge of CI/CD on large complex systems
• Proactive self-starter who is able to take initiative and roll up their sleeves to get things done
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
