Job Description

As a Security Officer - Financial Front Desk in Tempe, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents by maintaining visibility at the front desk and responding promptly to inquiries or issues. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including greeting guests and controlling access at the front desk.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for financial institution environments.
• Document and report all security-related activities and incidents, maintaining accurate records as required by site procedures.
• Assist with emergency response activities as instructed, communicating clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal personnel.
• Work closely with building management and staff to address security-related concerns and provide information as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of experience as a security supervisor or manager or 3 years of experience in security-related roles.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
