An amazing journey of opportunity with an international team lies ahead - join us!<p>We are seeking a  Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our efforts in transforming our legacy infrastructure into a modern, scalable, and efficient ecosystem. This role involves not only hands-on technical work but also a significant focus on mentoring others onDevOps practices. You will be instrumental in embedding a DevOps culture across within the team and ensuring best practices are followed.</p><br/><p>Our current infrastructure relies heavily on AWS, with many services running on EC2 instances. We are committed to modernizing our infrastructure to leverage the full potential of AWS services. As we embark on this transformation, we aim to foster a DevOps culture within our organization. If you are passionate about infrastructure as code, automation, and mentoring others, we want you on our team.</p><ul><li><strong>Infrastructure Modernization: </strong>Lead the migration of services from EC2 instances to fully utilize AWS services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.</li><li><strong>DevOps Culture Advocacy: </strong>Champion the adoption of DevOps practices within the team and across the organization, promoting automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.</li><li><strong>Mentorship and Training: </strong>Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Conduct workshops, training sessions, and code reviews.</li><li><strong>Automation: </strong>Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform. Ensure automated configuration and management of environments.</li><li><strong>Kubernetes Management: </strong>Oversee the deployment, management, and scaling of applications on Kubernetes.</li><li><strong>Collaboration: </strong>Work closely with development and other operational teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.</li><li><strong>Monitoring and Optimization: </strong>Implement monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance. Proactively identify and address potential issues and bottlenecks.</li><li><strong>Documentation:</strong> Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.</li></ul><ul><li><strong>Demonstrate Technical Proficiency</strong>:<ul><li>Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).</li><li>Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.</li><li>Proficiency in Terraform infrastructure as code.</li><li>Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash).</li></ul></li><li><strong>Exhibit Leadership and Mentorship: </strong>Proven track record of mentoring and guiding colleagues, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.</li><li><strong>Are a Proactive Problem-Solver:</strong> Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.</li><li><strong>Implement DevOps Best Practices: </strong>Deep understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.</li><li><strong>Promote a Shift-left Mentality &amp; DevOps Transformation: </strong>Experience in moving from a "Ops &amp; Dev" environment to a fully automated and self-service model</li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br/><ul><li>AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).</li><li>SAP experience (in the context of migration)</li><li>Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).</li><li>Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)</li></ul>Your journey with HomeToGo is a two-way street - we’ve got you covered!
