Job Description

You will have the opportunity to bring Vuori designs to life. As an Assistant to the Materials team, you will establish processes to help optimize the team, providing clarity and organization.  Materials are the backbone between design, merchandising, technical design, planning, production, and the factories. In supporting the materials team, it is essential that all communication is accurate, complete, timely and professional. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Own all inbound and outbound packages addressed to the materials team 
• Manage materials toolboxes to provide the cross functional teams visibility of development status’s 
• Manage all package contents upon receipt; distributing, and filing contents daily 
• Issue shipping labels for all outbound packages and support in vendor communication to ensure receipt of all content 
• Engage in communication with overseas manufacturers for packaging / shipments, and comments going to factories or mills 
• Daily use of excel to monitor / track all submits and create reporting to show progress throughout the season 
• Assists in preparation for meetings by organizing samples / submits / previous sample rounds / etc. 
• Manage submit filing system and organization. 
• Aid in seasonal development work and requests  
• Manage materials libraries; physical and digital to make sure access is available to all teams 
• Aid in the development process by tracking down data, updating libraries, ensuring data integrity 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
• 0-2 years of related experience is required 
• Exceptional communication 
• Knowledge on knits, wovens, composites required 
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Suite and Outlook is a plus 
• Aptitude for systems and systematic work   

Additional Information

Pay Range: $26/hr - $28.85/hr
