Payroll Tax Analyst

The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for in-house payroll tax reporting and compliance function to assure the accurate completion of payroll tax returns by ADP and to meet the Payroll Tax reporting obligations of the organization. This position requires heavy-duty tax knowledge, accuracy, and attention to details. Strong preference to have experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll tax processing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oracle Fusion Cloud experience preferred.
- Liaison with Federal, State, and local agencies for audits and inquires.
- Coordinates with the Payroll team to assure accurate processing of taxes and employee paychecks.
- Run post Payroll reposts and review including research tax related issues.
- Respond to payroll tax related questions and resolve payroll tax issues Company wide.
- Prepare weekly review of tax balancing reports and review for federal, state, and local payroll amounts.
- Reconcile the General Ledger Payroll Suspense accounts.
- Prepare and process Journal entries related to payroll processing and taxes and other Journals as needed. Post the Journal files to Oracle Financials.
- Monitor timely and accurate application of Federal, State, and local tax changes and rate updates.
- Conduct tax research, gather documentation, and prepare responses to external and internal auditor’s information requests.
- Support preparation of documents for reporting by other Securitas Departments that include Risk Management, Corporate tax, Finance and Regions.
- Prepare weekly employee adjustment entries to assure Tax compliance.
- Communication and contact with the local field office to address adjustments to employee records and engagement setup. Coordination with Infor and WFM new mapping/changes for Local Tax codes.
- Interface and communication with ADP to assure processing of all Federal, State, Local and other Payroll Tax obligations are accurate and correct.
- Balancing and reconciliations related to the ADP Quarterly processing of Federal, State, and local taxes.
- Responsible for the year end balancing of internal records to submissions (reported & remittance) to Federal, State and Local agencies.
- Responsible for the year end balancing of W-2’s and related Federal and State agency forms to the PeopleSoft Payroll System and ADP.
- Preparation of W-2 Corrections and processing to ADP for amended returns. Reporting of W-2Cs monthly for General Ledger entries.
- Provide support and assistance for employees and regarding all questions concerning W-2 and W-2C statements.
- Knowledgeable with Local taxes in AL,IN,KY,OH and PA
- Assists the Finance team with Ticket requests involving Payroll tax entries.
- Reports to the Payroll Tax Manager.
