YOU WILL BE:

As Senior Manager, Operations you will be responsible for Inbound operations at our Pinnacle Distribution Center (PNDC) in Dallas, TX. You will serve as the site's senior point of escalation for all employees working in the Inbound division, owning the end-to-end value stream within this group. You will be responsible for the operations metrics and setting the strategy for your area of the business to deliver on our operational goals. You will oversee a cross-functional team of both operations managers and hourly employees ensuring coaching, development and mentoring takes place regularly. 

The Sr. Manager, Operations will also collaborate with the Senior Change Management team to lead your reports through successful project implementations within specific timeframes and exemplify Saks Leadership fundamentals along the way. You will regularly engage in site safety initiatives, ensuring the required operational procedures align to safety expectations across the center.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Monitors operational metrics and business performance using data to identify trends and drive efficiencies

• Owns financial and labor planning for areas of responsibility

• Leads, coordinates, and conducts safety audits: including four corner walks, 5S audits, behavioral-based audits, etc.

• Performs strategic planning for the next 3,6,12 months with other key stakeholders to ensure a culture of safety and compliance

• Develop and implement growth plans for direct reports

• Conducts regularly scheduled check-in conversations and provide meaningful feedback

• Leads all manager, and town hall meetings for applicable shifts to share operational goals, key updates and enforce priorities

• Supports team members through the use and implementation of A3’s to achieve operational goals and critical KPI thresholds

• Creates contingency plans to keep operations running and mitigate against disruptions and ensure business continuity

• Drives initiatives which support operational priorities; Safety, People, Quality, DEA, Volume and Costs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• Relevant experience in manufacturing, distribution logistics, retail.

• Acute business acumen to better manage change

• Strong leadership skills, with experience leading an operations team

• Proven track record of delivering on KPIs

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts, and problem solving methodology

• Experience in analyzing metrics and data-driven decision-making.

• Solid verbal communication skills and written communication efforts

• Strong interpersonal skills to deal with teammates and clients

• Good problem-solving skills to manage conflicts and employee concerns

• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:

The salary range for this position is between $102,000 to $132,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
