We are currently seeking a Business Development Senior Director to join our team in McLean, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
Leads a team of Business Developers in the achievement of the largest and most complex business opportunities involving current and future vendor relationships and client accounts.
• Develops opportunities within the largest and most visible client and partner relationships.
• Leads the development of strategic account business relationships, and helps develop and execute corporate client level marketing and selling strategies.
• Directs the long-range forecasting and analysis associated with potential alliances/partnerships and new product opportunities.
• May have lower level Business Developers Leaders reporting to them.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Business Development Leader for our State Health Consulting business across the country. This leadership role is focused on sales operations, driving strategic growth, and overseeing a team of business development resources..
The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in government sales, with a deep understanding of HHS solutions, proven expertise in managing teams, and a strong network of relationships in the Health and Human Services space.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership- Define and execute the sales strategy for State Health Consulting, aligning with overall business objectives. - Identify new business opportunities and market trends to ensure competitive positioning and growth.
2. Sales Operations Management - Oversee and optimize the end-to-end sales lifecycle, including pipeline management, lead generation, and deal closure.
3. Team Leadership & Development - Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing sales team. - Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity.
4. Client and Partner Engagement - Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.- Act as the face of the company at industry events and conferences.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with marketing, delivery, pre-sales, and product teams to ensure alignment on strategy and customer success.
6. Revenue and Market Share Growth - Drive exponential revenue growth while ensuring profitability.
Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in government/HHS sales, including at least 5 years in a national or regional leadership role. Deep expertise in Medicaid/HHS is essential.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Graduate degree preferred.
