About JLL Technologies

JLL has a global IT function which spends over $500 million per annum. The role entails working with JLLT leadership team to develop key strategies that help to fully leverage expenditure, build an enterprise operating model that helps JLLT achieves its goals, manage risk, consider balance of trade considerations and how expenditure can be evolved further. All sourcing and procurement needs to be done against the backdrop of JLL governance and S&P guidelines.

Global Category Manager – Software

Develop, manage and execute global category sourcing strategies within the specific IT Category allocated. As the Software Category Manager you will be responsible for building relationships with the CIO’s, CTO’s, Chief Product Officers, building internal demand plans, developing category plans including new opportunities and manage relationships with key strategic suppliers. Ensure contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio.

Summary of essential functions and Goals

• Partner with the JLLT leadership team to create category strategies that align with JLLT’s key fundamental plans whilst leveraging growing expenditure to have commercial advantage

• Develops & regularly maintains/up-dates short-, mid- and long-term category strategy globally, linking this strategy with overall business strategy/objectives, in alignment with departmental stakeholders (C-suite)

• Category Manager has and/or forges key strategic relationships with (strategic) suppliers/industry leaders and develops those relationships on behalf of JLL being mindful of long-term mutually beneficial and ethical objectives as well as providing the business with access to supplier innovation

• Category Manager is responsible for leading the approval process for third party expenditure. This includes presenting the deal to senior leaders in the business such as the JLLT CEO,  Global CFO and Global CPO

• Category Manager is leading key strategic procurement projects and provides expert advice and guidance to the JLLT leadership team. Advice has expanded from pricing and commercial principles to incorporate aligning supplier/partner strategies to make/buy decisions & managing sensitivities where JLL’s strategy could create direct conflict against the suppliers value proposition

• The Category Manager will recommend the qualification of appropriate service providers/supply partners to ensure that we have the best service provision available across the region to deliver value to our internal and sometimes also external clients
