Responsibilities
Peraton’s Defense Mission and Health Solutions (DM&HS) Sector is seeking a Senior Clinical Officer to support our Federal Health programs.
This position works to ensure oversight and management of evidence-based strategies within the community related to identifying patients with mental health care needs, identifying patients in crisis, and decreasing the rate of death by suicide.
The Senior Clinical Officer is responsible for leveraging leading clinical strategies and programming to ensure quality and productivity.
What You will Do:
- Assists in the development of strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for mental health promotion programs and services.
- Using specialized education and experience evaluates theory-based and evidence-informed mental health education programs, health promotion strategies, policies, and services.
- Assesses the inclusivity of efforts to determine if efforts are effectively reaching priority and underserved communities.
- Creates and coordinates program assessment and evaluation criteria and generates reports on program effectiveness and develops program recommendations.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders in suicide prevention, public health, behavioral health, and academia at the local, state, and national levels
- Evaluate educational materials and resources for patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and best practice development
- Acts as in-house consulting resource as required.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain a public trust.
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited progra
- Minimum of 10 years post-licensure clinical experience
- Demonstrated expertise in suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention
- Experience with evidence-based treatments for suicidal behaviors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.

- Experience in program assessment and implementation
- Background in healthcare or community mental health settings
- Research experience in suicide prevention or related areas
- Training and supervision experience

Target Salary Range
$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Apply for this role
