Job Description:     

The bagger sets up, adjusts, operates, and monitors the bagger, slicer, and kwik-loc for each variety. He/She will setup the coder for proper price, unit price, date, and Ct. license number. The bagger will place the proper color kwik-loc tab on the machine. He/She will assist the packers with assigned duties. Bagger will clean all related equipment between changeovers. He/She will perform all allergen clean ups and quality checks in accordance with standard procedures then neatly and accurately fill out all necessary paperwork. Responsible for area housekeeping and other duties as assigned by supervisor.  

Essential Job Functions:

Review pertinent information with the previous shift i.e. mechanical issues etc. Set and adjust bagger speeds Change bags and document lot codes for each variety Check for bag revision numbers Setup, adjust and change kwik-locs for each variety Monitor clarity of printing on tabs Setup and adjust slicers for each variety Change coder tape Initiate changeover according to orders Work in rebags and rewraps Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. HACCP – CTS) Maintain a safe neat and clean work area accordance with GMP and Good House Keeping Practices (GHP’s) Communicate with co-workers and supervisors Follow all JSA guidelines   Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices

Work Conditions:

8-12 Hour shift. Will receive 2 fifteen-minute breaks and one half-hour break. Overtime is required. Environment – Noise levels will be minimal to moderate, and temperature will be controlled. Lighting is sufficient.

Rate of Pay:  $23.55-$26.45
