Staff Product Manager, Ecosystem Health

This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York office and will require you to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager, Ecosystem Health to strengthen the integrity of Grindr’s platform and protect our users’ experiences across the ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of fraud prevention, risk management, and trust & safety — focusing on ensuring authenticity, reducing harmful behavior, and driving confidence in our community interactions.

You’ll design strategies and build product solutions that detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, and abuse, while partnering cross-functionally with teams across Legal, Customer Experience, and Engineering. This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who thrives at the intersection of data, integrity, and user experience, translating safety principles into scalable product innovation.

What’s the job?

• Platform Integrity: Lead efforts to detect and moderate spam, fake accounts, harassment, and other malicious behaviors that affect user experience

• Building and Refining AI / ML Tools: Develop and refine AI/ML systems to moderate our platform at scale while being mindful of what users are on Grindr to do

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Experience, Legal, Privacy, and Marketing to translate policy into actionable product requirements.

• Build User Trust: Develop user-facing features that promote authenticity and trust on the platform while respecting the desire for discreteness and privacy on the platform

• Data-Driven Decision Making: Define and monitor metrics that measure fraud, risk, and ecosystem health; use data insights to proactively reduce exposure and improve user experience.

• Crisis & Incident Response: Support cross-functional response plans for incidents impacting platform integrity and user safety.

• Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of regulatory, technological, and behavioral trends in fraud and platform risk to evolve our approach and protect our community.

What we'll love about you

• 7–11 years of product management experience at a high-performing, consumer-facing company.

• Experience in fraud detection, risk management, or ecosystem integrity; familiarity with trust & safety principles is a plus.

• Strong analytical and technical skills — comfortable working with data to diagnose issues, define KPIs, and validate solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority.

• Experience building or integrating automation and AI-driven tools to improve operational efficiency and safety.

• A thoughtful balance of risk management and user empathy — you protect users while enabling freedom and connection.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can distill complex topics into clear, actionable insights.
