Job Description Summary

Job Description

A Senior Research Investigator position will be immediately available in Dr. Ling Qin’s laboratory in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The primary focus of this job is to assist with research on human bone marrow mesenchymal and hematopoietic cells that are related to diseases such as osteoporosis and cancers. Other job duties include lab management, record keeping, and small animal handling. Candidate must be self-motivated and the recipient of a Ph.D. or M.D. The successful candidate should have strong background in standard molecular and biological techniques, cell culture and/or animal model. Previous experience in bone biology, immunohistochemistry, and bone marrow stromal stem cell culture is preferred but not required. The candidate is expected to design and execute experiments, collect and analyze data, and publish papers in scientific journals.

  • PhD or MD and 5 to 7 years of postdoctoral experience is required.
