About the Mission You Will Join:
VMD is supporting a large federal contracting company with the delivery of a 10-year contract supporting the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Integrated Service Center (ISC). As part of this effort, VMD is leading the IT training initiatives to engage with FAA personnel to instruct them on the use of the IT tools and technologies made available to them by the FAA. This is an important function as it ensures that FAA staff members can increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their efforts by having the knowledge needed to fully leverage these IT technologies. This training is currently focused on MS Office 365 and MS Teams, but will evolve to other technologies as needed.
Your Impact to the Mission:
The Training Delivery Specialist's responsibilities are to:
- Work with VMD's Training Development Leads to understand resources and deliver instructional content for assigned courses.
- Identify, learn, and share best practices in the M365 environment One-on-One or in a remote classroom environment.
- Research solutions to student questions regarding Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technology (primarily Microsoft 365 and related apps).
- Coordinate follow-up with training attendees to support them in the use of COTS products.
- Regularly review and revise supporting documentation as needed and store it in the appropriate Teams or SharePoint Online site.
- Manage and administer the electronic training calendar.
- Document training metrics, such as the number of attendees in class, number of classes per month, response rates to student surveys, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Non IT Track (may simply be a comment during the interview process).
Experience Needed to Be Successful:
- Fluency with Microsoft 365 and associated apps.
- Ability to deliver training remotely via MS Teams or Zoom, using Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) on a variety of COTS IT technologies.
- Ability to deliver instructional content in organized and logical steps using clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to gain a Help Desk Institute (HDI) certification within 30/60 days.
