About the Role:
Octave is a B2B2C company, contracting with payers and managing a marketplace of therapists and therapy-seekers who connect for in-network therapy services. As Product Lead, you'll be instrumental in spearheading a new business opportunity that promises substantial growth for the company. Your role will involve vetting and testing innovative ideas, collaborating closely with the CEO to pitch to potential partners, validating consumer interest, and developing an enriching experience to support the concept. You'll be working with a small development team, maximizing minimal resources until the idea's viability is proven. There will also be opportunities for this role to drive other new business growth areas.
Responsibilities Include:
- Idea Vetting and Testing: Explore, assess, and refine a new business idea within the mental healthcare sector. Conduct thorough market research, analyze trends, and identify viable opportunities.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO to develop compelling pitches and presentations for potential partners, leveraging your insights and expertise to drive buy-in and support.
- Consumer and Market Validation: Engage with target consumers, conduct surveys, gather feedback, and validate interest in the proposed concept to ensure alignment with market needs and demands. Continuously evaluate and refine the concept's viability, adjusting strategies and approaches as necessary to maximize its potential success.
- Product Experience Development: Lead the development of a seamless and user-centric experience that supports the new concept. Collaborate with the development team to create prototypes and iterate on the product and service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Resourcefulness: Thrive in an environment with limited resources, displaying creativity and agility to achieve objectives with limited resources, especially in a startup environment.
- Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic and analytical skills to assess market opportunities, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork to drive project success.
- Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and champion the new concept.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management, general management, management consulting, or similar roles.
- Demonstrated track record in going from zero to one: successfully bringing new products, business lines, or services to market, ideally within the healthcare or marketplace sectors.
- Prior experience in Healthcare Industry and/or building Marketplaces: Understanding of the mental healthcare landscape, including regulatory considerations, market dynamics, and consumer needs/preferences; Marketplace dynamics, especially how to stimulate initiate growth and manage supply-demand
- Product Lifecycle management: previous experience working with design and engineering teams, from research to articulating a vision to writing requirements to feature release, data analysis, and iteration.
